No Aquittal Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

No Aquittal

There is no aquittal given,
God gives.
That erases regret.
Remorse or guilt felt.
By those committed,
Inflicting their evil misdeeds.
To feel and grieve until death.
And possibly for an eternity.

Nor is there any judgement,
Than can be passed...
That leaves those victimized,
For the rest of their lives lived.
And to know...
How it is someone in seconds,
Can decided who they will pick...
To have them suffering.
An anguish to live with,
24/7.
Unable to heal,
From another taught evil.
And a wickedness dispensed.

There is no aquittal,
That removes a reality to observe it.
To delude a truth,
No longer to avoid.
Or describe the lasting affects,
Truth has for the rest of there lives!
With it to medicate away.
In the hope to survive,
A continuing of living...
Lives completely fantasized.
Based upon lies.
Told to themselves and kept to believe.
Immune and restricted,
From truth and facts.
And the nightmare reality,
Brings to not soon leave.
