No Darkness Can Conquer The Light Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

No Darkness Can Conquer The Light

Sunshine today came with glorious rays
Touched my skin in a warm embrace,
Contrasting the world's own eerie darkness,
Where chaos and hatred envelopes with coldness.

As I store within beams of inner light
Glimmers of hope hold me through the night,
I find strength of will and peace of heart,
A steel resolve from Truth won't depart.

No darkness can conquer the light of sun,
Though clouds abound, still it shines on.
Just as terror can't make a brave man sink,
In the face of Death, he stands and won't blink.
