No Friends At All Poem by Dorsey Baker

No Friends At All

Baby you had a pot of gold
but you give it up
for a bucket of sand
Baby you had the world
in the palm of your hand
but you couldn't see
the forest for the trees
Baby I
tried to save you from drowning
but you refused to
listen to my pleas

So baby you cannot blame
nobody but yourself
for your down fall
Baby blame yourself
that you
aint got no friends at all!
