No Ghosts Allowed

bust up the card games of the gloomy ghosts

hanging around and burning cheese toast

bringing us down in the basements of the parlez vous?

not to you!

bring on the Christmas

all that decor

chase all the goblins

off of the moor

cut off the bad news

and all the tabloids too

throw out the trash and the haunting bells

bury forever the misery spells

trim up the castle and the puppy dog too

we're going to feel brand new.

heck with the cuss-ed who play I spy

stealing the custard

so the babies cry

pick all the flowers, fill all the vases too

put on a pretty dress,

sing out

till there's no rest,

nap for the doldrums

shoo fly shoo

we've heard enough from you.

cheerfully, bid adieu.

your career here is through.
