No joy for girl

Family members cursed fate when I was born
Their world was torn
Their hopes were dashed
The conclusion was immediately rushed

In some of the families
The birth of girl was accepted with remorse
"What type of reward we have got"
We had wished baby boy and now we are caught

When I gained full awareness
I was listening to unhealthy comments
From the neighbours and members
This was adding to my anger

I decide to rise
And show with surprises
That being girl, I am their destination
I shall strengthen their belief and relation

The girls are now no more burdens
They are proving more than son
Apart from being helpful to parents
She can see the joy at present

Let world watch this century
The girls will do proud of the country
As an Athlete or in economic field
Very high positions are held
