No More Birthday Celebration

No more birthday celebration
Monday,30th September 2019

I stand before the gate
and think about sealed fate
the holy places appeal to me
I get a new dose of energy and feel free

Yes, I bow down
and make it known
through an earnest appeal from the corner
and make prayers

how many years, I went on celebrating
and equating the life
with that of others
and ushered in happiness

I felt the life span spent on useless things
that brought nothing worthwhile to sing
and take pride in being a good human
it was just mental satisfaction

was the life meant for enjoying the pleasure
with the addition of enormous treasure
I am not sure even today
life had shown me no way

Instead of celebrating a birthday
I shall pray
for a worthy life being spent on some welfare
that looks very fair proposition
