No More Insults Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

No More Insults

No more insults.
Just provide the proof,
And evidence of results...
Of a having respect.
For humanity itself.
Without insisting it to exist.
But...
Where is the truth of it kept?
Not to have 'that' more obvious,
Than insults heard to hear.
Making that clearer,
To expect to get on a daily basis.

"I'm not hearing any insults at all."

And I should be surprised.
To wonder why?

Few can hear it heard,
What comes out of their mouths.
Listening to spew it.
Unless...
It has become as natural as breathing.
Not to notice the filth being exhaled!
