No One Around Poem by me poet yeps poet

No One Around

There's no one around how is happiness to be found come friends come around bring you own bottles have a drink with us
bring some chocolates and toffee
then enjoy shall we some coffee

We are alone two oldies you know it
how to celebrate our 55
can any one advise
Lonely is the dark night
of that there can be no surprise
neither the
sunrise nor we can
of that have no surprise

but cheers we will accept
hugs across distant loving breasts

stay 6 feet away
you may
keep your masks
wear it if you may

cheers we will say
Have with us a good day
and
make us happy and gay

then slip away
silently we pray

lets once again enjoy
our 55

How can nights be lonely. Blanket bed and the battalion of dreams waiting to carry you to your heaven and you inviting friends..

I've noted that among the oldies I was not there, but here am I uninvited.....
