No Other Choice Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

No Other Choice

Rating: 5.0

No other choice

I would love to die
And may earnestly try
To be laid along side
So nothing can be felt as divide

I have felt their pain
And remained
Moved with their plight
They were right

What could I do?
Except to pass through
Same pain and agony
That was suffered by many

What is your daily food?
Onion and bread with some vegetables
Big bread with no oil on it
Yet that smelt so sweet

No world existed for them
The happiness and hard work was in team
I saw contentment but no complaint
This posture they maintained

So my place lies there
And I still hear
Their whispered voice
I have no other choice
