Nobility Of Purpose Poem by Melody McKinstrie

Nobility Of Purpose

Rating: 5.0

Very noble to think of others.
Imagine that thought.
Nobility of purpose
Not birth.
How right! How right!
The cursed. Karma.
Whose voice is heard?
Finally the throngs?
The herds of downtrodden
The broken, the poor
They are the result
The cause greed
And neglect
Of those whose power
Was suspect.
Look beyond the curtain.
Who holds the strings
To the current puppets?
