Not As Burden Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Life should not be seen as burden
It may cease before time even
Make use of everything wisely
It may help in shaping life readily

The water nay become scarce
It may be made known at once
The natural sources are fast depleting
We are in mad chase and extracting

The inner belt is made deep hollow
Any time it moves and allows
Some movement to cause earth quakes
The rivers cause flood and remain in spate

The glaciers are melting
The sea level is increasing
Volcanoes are erupting
What else you ere disputing?

The sources should be used meticulously
One day may prove fatal and we shall watch it sadly
We can not play nature discriminately
This has been realized but very lately

Still it is well within our control
Let us respond positively to the call
Let us see kindly to the animals and birds
They are as useful as mankind in this world
