Not Chosen Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Not Chosen

Not chosen

How foolishly we try to hide 1
And in the mind skillfully decide
That no one shall come to know
And we shall simply grow

Sometimes people do not speak
But talk on back
They criticize too with slow whisper
But never prefer to come near

You have an anxiety
To show an ability
By employing wrong way
That really takes you far and away

You are labeled as 'dark horse'
With no trust of course
People may avoid you in any deal
As you are considered unfaithful individual

So far you have proved no good
People have certainly understood
Your design and intention
So they keep off from keeping any relation

If you are dark skinned man
And prove to be inhuman
No one shall respect you on any occasion
You are neglected and not chosen
