Not Hasidic, Gymnopedic Poem by gershon hepner

Not Hasidic, Gymnopedic

As misnaged,
I suppose
I’ve been buggered
writing prose.
My hair’s not long,
I’m not Hasidic.
Am I wrong.
to, gymnopedic,
make my verse
as atmospheric,
though less terse
than that of Erik?

This poem was a response to a tribute Alan Chapman paid to me when I sent him a poem, “Poem with which to Party, ” inspired by Erik Satie:

Your verse possesses
Such variety,
I think I'll never
Reach Satie-ty.
