Not Having To Get In Line Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Not Having To Get In Line

Walking through zones of natural pleasure, taking in
aspects of nature and life, watching the atmosphere
for moments of understanding and peace.

These moments coming through serenity of the Divine,
taking steps carefully, hoping to be rid of stress,
turmoil and pain.

Moving into spheres of another dimension, looking for
a balm for this pain that's gotten hold of the very
inside of this being.

Not having to get in line with the rest of the world,
following paths through mind and intellect that are
never walked upon.

Why, because they are ones this poet creates in depths
of an imaginational reality that exists only within
this poetical nature of innocence, a pure and beautiful
environment that always happens on the inside of this
mere poet throughout years of life.
