Not in control

I remained not in control
Yet called
And prayed an almighty
To bless with mercy

My mind roamed with ideas
And thoughts invaded with pleas
Mind was not fully concentrating
Only lips were uttering

The thoughts used to travel far
And look at the stars
Again I brought them back here
I was gripped with fear

Memory did not allow me to settle
I could see the friends and foes among the people
I saw their smiling faces
They were making jokes at my innocence

One thing was clear
Mind and heart could not go further
One forced me to hold firmly
And another remained shakey
