Not Someone Wanted Permanently Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Not Someone Wanted Permanently

Stranger hands have touched you.
In places to me you keep off limits.
And I had been a one night stand,
I admit.
But I thought those days between us ended.
I thought we were in this with seriousness.

Stranger hands have touched you.
In places to me you keep off limits.
And I had been a one night stand,
I admit.
But I thought those days between us ended.
I thought we were in this with seriousness.

Do you find a touch from strangers missed.
And find my closeness.
Something wished,
To leave.
And your actions tell me...
You wish from me to be more like a stranger.
And not someone wanted permanently.

I don't think you mean it.
In the heat of passion...
You tell me its mine.
And mine not to let go.
