Not Too Old Poem by Erica Lee

Not Too Old

People always say that either they're too young or too old
Don't think you're too old
Why?
Because deep inside your heart, there's something young
Even if your appearance is old
Your heart is never too old

You can go skiing or skate boarding
You can swim or run a marathon
You can do yoga or aerobics
You can do gymnastics

No matter how old you are
Inside your heart, it's like a little child
Wanting to do childish things sometimes
I may be too old for dolls
But I sometimes play with them
Because I know deep inside my heart, I'm younger than my age

Age doesn't determine if you're very old sometimes
Your mind also determines if you're actually old or actually young
Even if people points their fingers at you and say that it's dangerous for you because you're old
You have to remind them that age is just a number
That's all there is to it

Age doesn't always tell whether or not you're old
If your mind is like a child
You're young
If your mind is like very mature
You're old.
