Not Welcome
Death, you are not welcome here,
Not now when dreams are bright,
Nor when love is mine to give -
I will not sleep tonight.
I see your shadow creeping,
But you will have to wait;
Some things there are that I must do
That you cannot negate.
For life goes on though I must go
One day eventually,
But not tonight, with hands held tight -
My love still prays for me.
