Nothing Compares To A Jew Poem by Ramona Thompson

Nothing Compares To A Jew

It's been nearly 2000 years and so many lonely days
Since you died for my sins
I go out to pray every day and punish myself every night
Since you died for my sins

Since you've been gone
I'm been a bad girl
I'm become an addict and a whore

I can eat beside my pimp in a fancy restaurant
But nothing I said nothing can take away these blues
Cos nothing compares
Nothing compares to a Jew

It's been so lonely without you here
Like a bible without its pages
Nothing can stop my sorry tears from falling
Tell me lord where did I go wrong?
I could put my arms around every holy man who claims to be
But they're only remain me of my lost Jew

I went to the church
Guess what they told me
Guess what they told me
They said girl you better give on up
Go on over to the other side
Before it's too late
Cos your sad soul can't be saved anyway
But they're all fools
Cos nothing compares
Nothing compares to a Jew

All the crosses that I put up in my house for you
My pimp broke 'em all when he got home
In a fit of rage
I know that loving a sinner like me is sometimes hard
But if you're willing to give it another try
Then so am I
Cos nothing compares
Nothing compares to a Jew
Nothing compares
Nothing compares to a Jew
