Nothing Left - Poem by Frankie Stamey

a lonely, blue, broken hearted, beautiful woman and a lonely broken down, misunderstood, manly man

lonely, broken, barely, beating, hearts, keeping true, heartfelt sincere love at bay at the end of the day

writing, singing, saying, words of poetry, living, breathing, finding and feeling the blue hearted kind

slowly sinking, free falling, slipping and sliding, grabbing and hanging, holding, swinging and gliding, emptiness

clouds of Grey, clouds of doom, clouds of blue, lightning flashes, boom, memories clash, thunder clashes, raining pain

playing games, hidden agendas, word play tricks, foggy, smoggy, smoky unclear mind, in a nick of time

everything given, lessons learned, I'm concerned, love still burns, I'm sorry not enough, nothing left, I forgive

living, learning, trying, flying high, flying low, feeling good, feeling bad, makes me sad, wanna be glad, too bad

nothing left, given my all to one woman all my life, trying to start a new life, maybe find, a new wife, in my life

maybe I have more to give, maybe she can see, I want to live again, and so does she

teary eyes, now crying, sorrowful, mournful, true blue, comes through, who knew, you knew, I knew,

they knew, we knew, everyone knew, he knew, she knew, strangers knew, friends knew... nothing new

nothing left, hearts cold, mournful soul, love lives, love dies, crying eyes, somebody lies, somebody tries

walls fall, fences mend, deep within, love flows out, love flows in, comes and goes, like the wind

nothing left within, nothing left to give, nothing left to win, nothing left on the outside, nothing left on the inside

nothing left but the tear in my eye as I say Good-Bye

PS. Just to be sure, if this is a test, I gave it my best,
time has come to let it rest, with a twist, I insist
true love be given freely to one who can see it so clearly
