Nothing Shatters Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Nothing shatters my faith as deception
Strong belief has remained since inception
Love should be only the criteria and conception
Rest all should be neglected from adoption

It is inherent weakness that leads to downfall
Listening to wicked designs as final call
What is its ultimate result and final goal?
Is there anything in body like simple soul?

It sends us distress signals when cheated
To pass under humiliating condition when defeated
Under shock and grief when stabbed from back
Desertion from with in then face turn pale and black

It is shock that turns us as philosopher
Not green scenery appeals to photographer
World seems to be very far and distant reality
One thinks seriously about its use and futility

How does one over come with short comings?
Play safe game at one end in uncertain innings
How to safeguard self from powerful dragnets?
How to save head with honour when stone’s pelt

It is not a new phenomenon or sudden emergence
It has remained in force form centuries since
Many have faced it like lotus in pond
Maintained intimate relation and bond

Stick to the conscience if nothing appeals
Remove the defeatist views from mind or repeal
Never try to hold back composure or conceal
At the right moment emerge slowly and reveal

Has the deception not been divine force?
Has the powerful kings not fallen from riding horse?
Prophets, messiahs, preachers all have suffered
Great temptations, bribes and many things offered

They have stood their grounds well
Heaven and peace was converted into hell
The had only agony and sufferings to tell
They did not comprise ………………..
