Noticeable Indifference Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Noticeable Indifference

A noticeable indifference shown,
To the ones who manage...
Keeping their successes to achieve,
Unknown publicly.
With this to prefer,
Without attention to get.
Is more desirable than most suspect.
Leaving those to stay portrayed,
As being unnecessarily...
Arrogant, distant and unapproachable.
Allowed to be,
As arrogant, distant and unapproachable...
To remain that way to do and flaunt.
Projecting more,
An identity kept to dignify...
A presence undenied.
With no one to suspect,
The confidence and pride they developed...
When told many years ago.
That only fools would believe...
An impossible task to accomplish,
Would ever for them become reality.
Or...
A possibility to do and be done.
Yet can fake being 'somebody',
Nobody wants to know anyway!

"Hey! Wait a minute.
Aren't you..."

-No! -
