Notre Dame Cathedral - A Legacy Of Love And Faith (Restore It's Grace) Poem by Bernedita Rosinha Pinto

Notre Dame Cathedral - A Legacy Of Love And Faith (Restore It's Grace)

So majestic, so empowering in love and faith
thy finesse, thy decorum, thy loveliness, thy praise
no words were enough to describe it
until one in front of thee stood and saw it.

Many eyes enchanted by thy sight
many thoughts cherished those heights;
delighted, mesmerized, enchanted felt my heart
as each one carried home memories of thy grace.

A million miles I had traveled to see you
my heart with contentment and pride danced
to see purity and sanctity in its best elegance
as I silently said a prayer from my heart.

I vowed to come again and in that cathedral pray
so majestic, so empowering in love and faith
so firm in nobleness and poise
so captivating in wonder and awe.

And as those flames of fire razed so high,
though thy charm and grandeur stands so still,
thy beauty will always enthrall my mind
thy memory will always encircle my heart.

Paris for certain will restore and magnify
thy glamour and enhance thy beauty and warmth
as you belong to their legacy of loveliness
as you belong to their bequest of faith.
