Nyanam Poem by Charles Jagongo

Nyanam

Nyanam, daughter of the lake
as she speaks,
its hundhwe the song bird
your songs I desire
Nyanam, your eyes,
A golden pearl they are
Your legs, the rhythm
Harpist’s song memories, conjure
Living and loving,
You’re my rosy petal.
