O My Spring Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

O My Spring

You make me swoon in ecstasy
When you come to stay in my stairs
When trees around my small hut
Spread fragrance from fresh flowers

You make me get lost in dreams in
A world of soft wind and clear sky
As over a patch of green woods a
Group of silver clouds passes by

You make me feel like a boy full
Of energy and a will to rush high
As I watch birds fight over worms
And over green dales merrily fly

You make me lie on the ground
With my mind catching the songs
Sung by the flute of a shepherd
Who to the countryside belongs

You make me get lost in joy and
Give a reason to live this life long
I get a new birth each moment as it
Comes with a cuckoo's relentless song
