O Ocean, O My Dearly Ocean Poem by Soumili Karmakar

O Ocean, O My Dearly Ocean

Rating: 5.0

Fluttering by breezes of summer;
Every hopeless realms are staring at one another.

Streams adjoining oceans
Narrow ridges carrying fragrance of my devotions.

How could the best swimmer not love thou?
How did thou teach minds to find courage by blessing each one's thoughts?

O Ocean, o my dearly ocean,
Where is thine waves that used to live within thy heart?
O Ocean, if you converse with her
Do let her know from the very first page,
The fountain pen smoothly did start.

Yesterday night the country witnessed a fallen star,
Yesterday night the lights were joyfully twinkling in the sky;
Embracing thine surrendering world by standing numb far from mine,
And flames inside the mantle piece were deeply rejoicing in the dark.

O ocean, o my child like ocean,
Did you find my waves celebrating?
Did the address matched as our truths
Which we believed?

The coals that assured branches to lay,
Promises we made on that rainy day.

O Ocean, O my heavenly Ocean,
The rainbowing clouds I see
Is this the light of thee?
Is this the hope that accompanied us at times, while reading pages that wept for dying lives?

The colour of the sky is just like you,
As soon as the rain came I saw my life sitting next to you.

A bench was shivering to be a marble vault,
A soul was waiting on that wooden design to talk.

Under the shade of two elm trees where grasses were loving the divine light of thee.
