This wonderful poem perfectly capture the overwhelming sensation of an oppressive summer. You have crafted an excellent way to temper this baking heat. Balcony oasis is brilliant - a nice sanctuary. Compelling images!

Many thanks, Rose Marie. The heat continues here. The oasis fights on!

3) Although I don't have a balcony in my condo, the view is spectacular. I feel like I'm almost living up in Northern Ontario!

2) cont'd: And putting ice on my face had only frozen that image of the concrete jungle. As always, your writing and vivid imagery are excellent, my friend!

Thank you so much, my friend. I, too, am familiar with the ice!

After years of looking out my window to view the CN Tower, I was shocked to find that the concrete jungle had obscured it. Splashing my face with cold water from bowl didn't help.

Nice and concise oasis description! Reminds me of a few balconies I've seen!

Thank you, Rob! There are few of these balconies in my neighbourhood, too.
