Object At Rest (I, Matter) - Poem by Jesse Colton Fowler
I have been in stars, dinosaurs, ancient ferns, and early oceans,
cumulus clouds, armored fish, and primitive crustaceans.
Now I sit on a couch, feeling a wave of strange emotions,
with matters on my mind, the accumulation of generations.
