Obscene Page Poem by ANJANDEV ROY

Obscene Page

That was an obscene page,
Unknowingly I read it
And committed the worst sin,
As it destroyed my great poetic feelings.
I was in dire straits then,
I knew not how to get rid of it,
I tore up the page angrily
And threw it into the dustbin,
Still the indecent page haunted me very often,
I tried my best to stay away from it,
It was difficult....very difficult to survive;
I meditated deeply for many days and prayed for the God's mercy,
Finally one fine morning I found
The obnoxious page had left me,
I was greatly relieved,
Thereafter gradually I regained my sublime poetic rhythm.
