Observe Yourself Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Observe Yourself

Observe yourself.
Exposing just how much you're petty.
Can you observe yourself.
A child as if to be adult.
But a kid who just destructs.

Just observe yourself.
An aging misfit that's fanatic.
Can you observe yourself,
As others do with you who've had it.
To get sick and throwing up.
But...
Admit they do you were their pick.
But...
They did not know you to play tricks.
But...
You chose to use them as your fools.
Now they view you disbelieving,
Just how wicked you can be.

Can you observe yourself.
Destroying everything you touch.
Just observe yourself,
Corrupted with a mind that's nuts.
Locked up in a padded cell.
By those who have had,
Enough of your stuff.

Observe yourself.
Exposing just how much you're petty.
Can you observe yourself,
Locked up in a padded cell.
Alone and dwelling in this hell.
But...
It's decided you're deserving.
But...
Turning back the clock to stop,
What was done as people watched...
Won't be observed.
Since you left too much to leave it disturbed.
To go on.
You left too much that will stay observed.
