Observing Silence While She Dances Poem by Amberlee Carter

Observing Silence While She Dances

Rating: 2.8

the whole world -
pieces of us,
some things shatter.
straddle the moment and call it love.

stillness speaks-
the shadows
rushed in with feathery wings, half plucked-
I've kept your secret, memorized your moans-
pleased the devil you entertained
unaware of hell.

I moved in you,
something vague asked me to.
