Odd Proposal Poem by michael Smajda

Odd Proposal

Rating: 5.0

Would you like to be in my wedding?
Not as a bridesmaid but as my bride.
Ever since my keen eyes first saw you,
I pictured you to be the one by my side.
Would you like a gold ring placed on your finger
And hear me vow to you these words so true?
"No matter what life showers upon us,
I will faithfully, never stop loving you."

Now, if you say, "yes" to my proposal,
Oh, such inner joy you will instill in me
That I will embrace you ever so tightly
And exchange soft kisses with you repeatedly.
Then, together, we will meet with the preacher
And choose the year, month, day and time
You become the bride, not the bridesmaid,
I desire attending this wedding of mine.
