Ode To Life - Poem by Muzahidul Reza
Life, my daily pulsatile life
My dreamy, inventive, joyous and rustic life,
How are you like?
Give me your full identity that I can like;
Are you flowing spring?
That you flow in rhythmic music and dance,
Are you falling rain?
That you fall like torrential and drizzling tears;
Are you spring like lively?
That you beautify flowers and invite birds,
Are you winter like deadly?
That you cover the earth with grey blankets;
Are you ferocious leopard?
Even want to hunt the wild, crazy elephant,
Are you a bold stag or hart?
That you complain against ferocious leopard;
Are you any speedy fighter?
That you compare yourself to stormy wind,
Are you any bulky soldier?
As you compare yourself to old tiger can't hunt;
Are you like happiness?
Of a careless happy person's sweet dream,
Are you like sadness?
Of a deprived and destitute's dying whim;
Are you any pessimistic?
Slope yourself down from mountain to ocean,
Are you any optimistic?
As Orpheus played on for life companion;
Are you any wise?
Having meditation to do all like good angel,
Are you any foolish?
Having devil's consultations to do all evil;
Where do you hide?
I don't find you looking for long time I need,
Either in any light,
Where lights play to enlighten the nice world;
Or in any darkness
Where Satan with his companions are strong,
How much in which?
Tough to say as right is being defeated by wrong.
