Ode To Victor Hugo-86 'the Miserable' -Reservation

By Freeyad Ibrahim

In a church man luxury is a defect
Self-sufficient, simple, right and direct
A wealthy priest is a contradiction
If you saw a rich priest, you must take your reservation
The first proof of a charity in a priest is poverty
A real priest dies with zero property
The bishop of Digne lived in this community
Just, true, fair-minded, humble
Worthy-beneficent, benevolent, a sage,
Intelligent with high education
A saint addicted excessively to self-abnegation
Is a dangerous associate,
He may influence you with poverty
Win a lottery prize and you are a clever man
Even stupid, you had got the best quality
We live in squalid society, prosperity presupposes ability
A preacher who becomes a bishop by loudly braying
That is exactly as just as they call a painted face beauty
and a richly attired figure majesty
