oh how time can change a man,
like water does to whiskey,
i have mellowed,
and become more drinkable.
oh how love can change a man,
like sandpaper to rough wood,
i have become smooth,
and more touchable.
oh how words can change a man,
like a childs high rise tower of building blocks,
i have reached heights i never thought i could.
oh how death can change a man,
like an oracle's cruel revelation,
i challenge fate on every corner.
oh how life can enrich a man,
like a candy bar of every flavour,
for now time is something to savour,
oh how life can span a minute,
or 100 years, before one can live it
but for me...
i am merely a fresh budding flower!
