Oh I Cried Poem by Marlena Rose

Oh I Cried

Going too fast
Hit those railroad tracks
Don't know why the others lived
And that one young boy died
Oh, but I cried.

Age of fifteen
The headlights she'd seen
Going out in the dark
And that one young boy died
Oh, how I cried.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I wrote this for a boy named Dakota. He died during a car crash. He was the only one who passed away that night and he was only 15 years old.

Very sad write - it happens all too often. Well expressed in your short and succinct poem
