What has happened to my countrymen?
Why have they forgotten?
Our ancient tradition of garlanding foreigners
And invite them to our good wishes and hospitality offers
"Atithi Devo Bhava " that compared guest as god
The concept is now no more sold
Foreign visitors are attacked
And female guests are raped too
Whether it is case of foreigners
Or native girls and ladies
They are not only kidnapped and raped
No deterrent measures are or steps are contemplated
This speaks of poison mind
We are witnessing incidences of the same kind
This is the result of delayed justice
And withdrawing steps from given promises
It becomes imperative on our part
Not to depart from old tradition
And give women what they really deserve
Give equal rights for protection and observe their dignity
It becomes imperative on our part Not to depart from old tradition And give women what they really deserve Give equal rights for protection and observe their dignity
Yes, that has been common thing. People are so criminal.. B.B, sharma
What a lovely poem with inspiring people to adhere to valuable traditions of life. Yes, I also feel sad when people refuse good traditions and tend to enjoy the modern western one.... Bam Deb sharma
