Old As Time Itself Poem by Tony Avila Sampson

Old As Time Itself

Rating: 5.0

Roots in time beyond ancient past,
Building a future, mine atlast;
See the flesh that I wear on me?
Time long past had built that to be;
Building throughout time, brought forth me,
So I'm as old as time that I here be;
The foundation of time roots the past,
And into this world I've been cast;
Generation after generation, time has passed,
And there in the future is where I fade into the past;
Farther in time will offspring grow,
Reach touching future, ages flow;
Life is now yours and you're the holder,
You'll reach further into time as you grow much older;
So grow with time till your turn's gone,
It be the children who will soon live on...
