On Death Row Poem by Dorsey Baker

On Death Row

On death row
he sits in his cell
its a lonely place
its a
living hell!
On death row
he sits alone
his heart is broken
all his hope is gone

late
at night
he can see
the demons!
plain
as day
but he is too weak
to chase them away

He has been on death
row
too long his
spirit is broken
its so hard!
being on death row
because
he has got so much
time
to think things over!
