On Every Christmas Poem by Ima Ryma

On Every Christmas

On every Christmas ever be,
War be waging somewhere on Earth,
Seems to be human destiny.
True will of God has little worth.
On every Christmas children die,
Put in harm's way by waging war.
Adults keep asking question why,
But killing goes on more and more.
On every Christmas there be talk,
Peace on Earth and good will toward men.
But not listening is war's clock,
Children be killed time and again.

On every Christmas we need pray
The children not be killed today.
