On Fire Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

On Fire

Rating: 3.5

On fire

Human being is selfish animal
With some intelligence power, he has assumed the role
He may twist the fact to his advantage
And show wisdom at later age

What are we today in relation?
Absolutely nothing but stand with confusion
Our time passes with all time high greed
That in fact is not needed

Our origin is from clay
We are called son and daughter of earth's clay
So when we die, we go back to same form
Our body is merged into clay particles

Some of the races bur body on firewood
It is laid on pyre and lit with fire to end
The mentality and wish is same in all the religions
The soul goes up quickly leaving behind body to be gone

So we are becoming alive
When it sure that we have no grace period to live more
So we express our desire
To buried underground or body put to flames on fire
