On His Demise Poem by Rob Knetsch

On His Demise

he wondered
how long can this be
i'm walking here already
for hours and hours
when will this light be
at the end of this road

he pondered
the world around me
has changed into dark
with all dark behind me
and all dark in front of me
i can feel this road narrow

he observed
that light far ahead comes
very small but very bright
or is his disintegrating mind
playing its final trick on him
as the humming is dying out

A brilliant poem to mine liking! that light far ahead comes very small but very bright. Well worded! A 10 and much much more! I have enjoyed this excellent poem.
