On Shores Too Distant Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

On Shores Too Distant

On shores too distant.
Where truth is pursued.
There is a place,
Everyone accepts...
A difference made,
Between animation and reality.
And this never becomes,
A reason to cause debate.
Or...
Suspected.
Since these shores,
Are kept protected.
With a high degree,
Of consciousness.
No one approves,
To go neglected.

And those who live,
To inhabit these shores...
Live to know,
Truth, honesty and respect...
Is as natural,
As the air to breathe.
And as common from others,
To expect.
Wanting more.
As if to hunger for it.

On shores too distant.
And much too far away,
From the ones born...
Who have been taught,
The only purposeful use...
For their minds to find,
Is to occupy them with time...
Fictionalizing reality!
