On That Cross Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

On That Cross

Light swallows darkness
Like a candle in a room
Truth always uncovers
And both remove the gloom
Where life before was empty
And Hope was hard to find
Light from Jesus sets you free
Trust Him with heart and mind.

As one of those in prison
Held by pain and by sorrow
Wracked in anger that goes on
I had no Peace and no tomorrow
When to Jesus at last I cried
With His great Love He healed me
On that Cross for me He died
My sins forgiven, I was free!

Jesus is the only Answer
And the Healer of all our pain
He alone is our Redeemer
In Him we're never lost again
The peace He gives is never ending
His grace sufficiently He gives
He ever lives and interceding
For all who trust, in Him believe.
