fantastically beautiful
partway through the dimensions
Alice through the looking glass appears
pressing through pier glass as if through clouds
bending the world but not aloud
this much her soul in growing was allowed
four steps here and two steps right
or all the chess moves put to flight
or I am queen or I am not
thought Alice to
the tick of no clock
but in Time, suspended forget me not blue...
those are the skies above me or you
lending an iridescent view
here the mirror, melts as she strays
past the polished glaze of days
through her widening eyes and sphere
nothing makes much sense in here
vanishing like the rain from sight
pondering softly
the endless plight
of the White Knight
forever lodged
in an in between state
not yet, ever,
through the gate
in the process here in stone
all will leave her quite alone
chrysalis and butterfly bone
still she dreams of gliding in
where confusion never ends
and passes with a quiet grace
presumably
to a quizzical space
we will leave her gazing in
where the borderlands begin.
