On The Side That Lives - Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Some see rain as an opportunity to cry.
But without it,
People aren't nourished.
And when a drought happens things die.

I want to know life!
And I want to experience,
All there is that is connected to it.

There is a clear mental divide happening.
And I want to be on the side,
That lives to know life,
To appreciate it as a gift.
With an acknowledgement of this.
