from a clear morning sky
a crow swooped down
a lazy packet of bisuits
on the parapet wall
a used tea-cup
all showed that
it's a sunday morning...
how amusing to see
the way he unwrapped
and made a clean sweep
no sundays for the ever alert crow
my sunday is his day of feast

I have seen a crow chasing and fighting fierce with a mynah for its prey...sunday or any other day, we can find many such bird-scenes around us daily, specially in the morning...only thing we should have a look-out for that....nice sunday snippet in your lovely words....thank you...and thanks for your immediate comment on my poem too
yes, a simple and beautiful poem. but still portraying the truth of life, of relativity. and the absence of absolution in the superficial life. thank you.
It is snippets of nature like this, that make for such touching poetry. Nature seeks sustenance all day and crows are astute creatures and I loved your poem. 10 Karin
Yesterday i have seen a crow sipping the residue from a soft drink sachet... Took a picture of it too!

the word sunday makes us lazy; physically as well as mentally..... so, indira composes a lazy poem, creating metaphor through a crow....it was nice to read it, slowly n lazily, dear...thanks...
