Once A Day Poem by Elisabeth Wingle

Once A Day

A simple gesture is all I need,
once a day
A secret look, a loving glance,
Eyes that swell with pride
Once a day.
A smile meant for me alone
Accompanied by a wink
Once a day
Gently touch my hair, my face
Or take my hands in yours
Once a day
Let me feel the love I know is there
A simple gesture is all I need once day

a 30 year old poem. is it still valid today? very nicely expressed. i mean YOUR THOUGHTS, assuming they are yours. otherwise, still nice. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - my echo to Once A Day: Twice A Day Some simple gestures; it's all i need, Twice a day. A bowl of ice cream, chocolate, A pizza: mushrooms and olives. Fruits of every shape and size, Twice a day. My favorite TV show in color, Accompanied by a snack or two, Twice a day. Brush the crumbs from my beard, or use vacuum if it works better, Twice a day. Let my stomach know you love me, a few simple gestures is all i need.... TWICE a day! get the picture? bri ;) to MyPoemList and to Section A of my/our Showcase for PH poets.
