I miss you Mom
I really do
All those times
You saw me through
I miss the laughter
I miss the tears
That brought me through
These twenty years
Who can I turn to,
Now that your gone?
There's no one to hold me,
While I cry all night long.
The only place I can find
Peace, comfort and love
Is in the thought that you watch me
From high up above
I've just read your first poem posted here. it's so beautiful- it is well rhymed, it kindles emotions of love for mother, it leaves a sad, wistful feeling. 'The only place I can find Peace, comfort and love Is in the thought that you watch me From high up above' - may she have peace in heaven! Loved it very much.10/10 for this well written poem.
Hi Liz, a beautiful poem, expressing your love for you mom. Your choice of words and meter brings out the mood correctly. Enjoyed reading. Thanks.

I understand. I lost my Mom at the tender age of 93. but be careful flash and I am 85 (it happens) I guarantee she likes this one.
Thanks, I know what you are saying. Next year I will be the age my mother was when she died. It's unbelievable that I I have lived without her, for longer than I lived with her
