Once Stood Poem by Randy McClave

Once Stood

You once stood proudly for patriotism
But, now you stand for a traitor,
You now proudly support bigotry and racism
And you stand for a man who is a hater.

You once stood for our military
And for the soldiers who kept it strong and staffed,
But, now you stand arbitrary
You support a man who had dodged the draft,

You once stood for the American workers
You once helped the poor and also the needy,
Now you became ardent observers
As you support a man who is selfish and greedy.

You once supported the American dream
You once supported immigrants and living wages,
But, now you just scream
As you support children being locked up in cages.

You once supported our freedom
You applauded when we told Russia to let that wall fall,
And you stood up against dictators and treason
Now you supported a man who built a wall.

You once stood for respect and for family
You once hated predators living in glass houses,
Now you don't care about liars or adultery
Instead you stand for a man who betrayed his 3 spouses.

You once walked in the steps of Jesus our Lord
Against sin, greed, adultery you always quickly would oppose,
For Jesus you would quickly take up the sword
You then sold your soul to a wolf in sheep's clothes.

The Devil always walks amongst us
He uses and then he takes those who of care and love are unfit,
He likes it when like Judas people are treacherous
So, be prepared when you are thrown in Hells Fiery pit.
